The Hereditary Neurological Disease Centre traces its roots to volunteer groups and fund raising efforts that began in Wichita, Kansas in the 1960s. In an effort to enhance future outreach, HNDC was formally established in 1997 as a unique multi-disciplinary center of care and research.

In 2018, Hereditary Neurological Disease Centre moved into a new clinic space in the Cypress Medical Park. This larger facility allows patients to be seen on-site for monthly clinics and provides expansive space for support groups, counseling, and research study activities.

Huntington Disease proceeds in stages to which family, friends, and personal physicians can make knowledgeable and sympathetic responses. Professional care recommendations are the core of the program.

Early intervention can go far in providing the return of a sense of control and independence.
